FORMAT
The meet will be swum as prelims and finals for the Open and timed finals for
ages 12 & under. Finals for the Open will include a bonus, consolation and
final heat with the exception of all Friday and Sunday events, which are, timed
finals. The Friday night session will be seeded by computer, based on positive
check-in at the beginning of the session.
Heat sheets will be posted around the pool deck. The scratch deadline will be 45 minutes
before the start of each session. Heat and lane assignments will be posted and
handed out to coaches prior to each session. Coaches are responsible for
ensuring their swimmers are in the correct heat and lane.
ELIGIBILITY
All contestants must be 2005 or 2006 USA Swimming registered athletes. All
swimmers must be registered before the entry is submitted. Teams that
enter unregistered swimmers will be subject to a fine of $100 per unregistered
swimmer.
ENTRY INFORMATION
Entries:
Entries will be accepted on and after September 22, 2005. Entries
received before September 22, 2005 will be considered received on September 22.
Entries must be received no later than Tuesday,
October 18, 2005. Make checks payable to “C & C Swimming,
Inc.”. Mail completed forms (including signed entry cover page and
waiver) and payment to the entry chairperson: Paul Mangili,
Event Limits: Athletes may swim
in a maximum of 5 events per day for 10 & under, 11-12 and Open
Friday and Sunday Timed Finals, excluding relays. *** Saturday Open Prelims and
Finals are limited to 3 events per day, excluding relays***
Email Entries: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to the entry chairperson at ABFSwim@aol.com. Please check that your team name, address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. For email entries, payment and hardcopy of the entry (including signed entry cover page and waiver) must be received within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of receipt of the email entry. If payment is received within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of the email entry, the email receipt date will be considered the date of entry. If payment is received more than four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, after the email entry, the payment receipt date will be considered the date of entry.
Entry Fees: -- Electronic entries for 12 & Under and Open Timed Finals on Friday and Sunday: $3.50 for individual events, non-electronic entries: $4.00. Electronic entries for 11 &12 400IM: $5.00, non-electronic entries $5.50. Electronic entries for Open 500 FR: $5.00, non-electronic entries $5.50. Electronic entries for Open Prelim and Final format on Saturday: $5.00 for individual events, non-electronic entries: $5.50. Timed Final electronic entered relays: $14.00, non-electronic entries: $14.50. Open Prelim and Final electronic entered relays: $20.00, non–electronic entries: $20.50.

Entry Times: All entries must be specified in
short-course yard (25-yard pool) times. Meter times must be converted to
yard times. (Entries with “NO TIME” will be rejected.)
Entry Cuts: Entry cuts, if necessary, will be made by the date of receipt. Teams will be notified that they have been accepted or cut from the meet within seven days of receipt of entry. In accordance to new, New England Swimming policy we will reserve 75% of the swims for Teams in or out of district with whom we choose. If on the first day of acceptance the remaining 25% of swims become oversubscribed, a lottery will be conducted by the New England Swimming Office to fill the meet. Teams that are cut from the meet will have their entry fee returned within four days of being cut.
RELAYS: No team limit on relays that may be entered.
RULES
2005 US Swimming rules will govern all competition and the decisions of the
referee will be final unless a written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of
the swim heat being protested. Disabled swimmer forms are required by US
Swimming and are available from the New England Swimming office.
OFFICIALS AND TIMERS
All teams are asked to provide volunteer officials and timers. Distance events
on Friday & Saturday Trials, 400IM and 500FR are required to provide their
own timers and counters. Please include
with your entry a list of your team’s eligible officials, their phone numbers,
and the session(s) they are available to work. The Referee for this meet will
be Paul Maker, and officials are encouraged to contact Paul at (508) 384-8480
or email at makerp@fcl-us.net before the meet.
SAFETY AND IMPORTANT RULES TO NOTE
AWARDS
Ribbons are awarded for the first 8 places in the individual events for each
age group.
ADMISSION & PROGRAMS
Admission: $1.00 per session
Programs: $3.00 for each session
CONCESSIONS
Refreshments will be available.
EQUIPMENT VENDOR: Varsity Swim Shop (equipment
vendor) will be selling suits, goggles, and other accessories for Saturday and
Sunday of the meet.
