The purpose of the camps is to provide the membership of New England Swimming with an excellent opportunity to train for the distance events and open water swimming.

The main goals are:

  1. Offer the swimmers an opportunity to train with swimmers from other clubs who share the same interest.
  2. Train in a format that many teams currently are unable to, enhancing the training sessions.
  3. Improve distance swimming in New England.
  4. Introduce swimmers to Open Water Swimming.
  5. Form new and/or build better relationships, providing support for each other.
  6. Give the coaches a chance to learn and share ideas regarding distance and open water.
  7. Improve the coaches’ networking in New England.
  8. Enhance the image of New England Swimming by providing monetary funding for training for the membership.
