FACILITY
The Competition Pool is an 6-lane, 25 yard pool
with seven-foot-wide lanes and non-turbulent lane lines. Fully-automatic Colorado Time Systems
electronic timing with touchpads at the finish end of the pool with Six-line
electronic display. The finish end of

College Athletic Complex, 263 Alden Street, Springfield MA. 01109. There is No Smoking on the school grounds. Handicap seating
is available. Failure to abide by rules defined in this notice, posted at
the facility or determined by the Meet Referee or Meet Director may result in
ejection from the facility. Only those with proper credentials will be
allowed on deck.
FORMAT
All events will be
seeded during warm-ups and swum as timed finals. Heat and lane assignments will be posted after scratches are
entered. Copies of heat and lane
assignments will be given to coaches. Swimmers should report directly to the
blocks for their events. Coaches are
responsible for ensuring their swimmers are in the correct heat and lane. There will be no bullpen.
All heats of the 1650
Freestyle will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating girls and boys if
possible but combining girls and boys if that requires fewer heats. Open swimmers and 13-14 year old swimmers
will be combined into heats for efficiency if deemed necessary by meet
management.
Distance events (400,
500, 1650) may be cut by time in the event that the meet is oversubscribed at
the discretion of the Meet Director.
The 200 Fly, 200 Back
and 200 Breast for the 11-12 age group will be limited to 4 heats for Girls and
4 heats for Boys.
ELIGIBILITY
All swimmers must be
2004 registered swimmers with New England Swimming. Swimmers may register with Mary Riddell, 20 Cleveland Rd.,

shown on the entry form. All coaches on
deck must be registered with USA Swimming and present their coach
membership cards.
ENTRY INFORMATION
No swimmer may enter
more than nine individual events or swim more than five individual events per
day. Swimmers must enter an individual
event to be able to participate in a relay.
Relay only swimmers are not allowed.
Relays are age specific.
Swimmers may not age up for a relay.
Relay entries may be limited to two teams per event per club at the
discretion of the Meet Director. Relays will be the first to be cut, in the
event that the meet is oversubscribed, at the discretion of the Meet Director.

received by Monday, February 2, 2004. Entries earlier than that will be
greatly appreciated. Electronic
entries, whether by email or on computer disk are appreciated and are less
expensive (according to NES policy).

file. Seed cards are not required.
Email Entries: Attach the .cl2 or .sd3 file to the email

received by Friday, February 6th.

is the preferred paper mailing method.
