Swimmers in the 1000 or 1650 may start warm-up in the back pool while the afternoon session is still in progress.  The distance events will start at 6:30 PM or 20 minutes after the last heat of the afternoon session, whichever time is later.  So there will be at least a 20 minute break between sessions.

Teams will be assigned warm-up times and lanes once all entries are received.

MEET FORMAT

This will be a timed-finals meet.  All events will be seeded and swum as 12 & Under and 13 & Over events with the final results broken down by the following age groups:  8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & Over.  The 1000 and the 1650 will be swum as mixed open, swimming heats fastest to slowest.  Events will be seeded during warm-ups each session.  Heat and lane assignments will be posted in both pool areas prior to each event.  Swimmers are to report directly to their lane when their event is called.  Coaches are responsible for ensuring their swimmers are in the correct heat and lane.  Time trials will be offered if there is time at the end of each session.  This will be at the determination of the meet director and meet referee.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entries on computer disk are appreciated whether using the Hy-Tek program (.cl2 file) or some other program (.sd3 or sdif).  If submitting entries by email, please also send a paper printout of the entry with the check and signed cover page.  Total entries for the meet are limited, therefore the meet will be cut by date of receipt.

No swimmer may enter more than 5 individual events per day (this includes the 1000 or 1650 if entered).  Swimmers may enter the 1000 or the 1650 but not both.  All entries for the 1000 and the 1650 must have an entry time.  NTs will not be accepted in the distance events.

Meet management retains the right to limit the number of heats of distance events if necessary.  Distance events will be cut by lottery of entries within the particular event.

Entries must be received between Wednesday December 17 and Tuesday, January 20.  Any entries received before December 17 will be considered to have arrived on the 17th. If the meet is oversubscribed, a team lottery will be used to determine which teams will participate in the meet.  The lottery will be between those teams submitting entries on the date that filled the meet.  Email entries will be accepted.  Fees must arrive within four business days after the email is sent.  United States Postal Service Overnight Mail is the preferred mailing method.  If Overnight Mail is used, indicate that the package be delivered even if no one is there to sign for it.  If using email, consider zipping the file.  No fax entries will be accepted.  Times achieved in a 25 meter pool must be multiplied by .9049 to convert to yards.  Teams in the meet will be allowed to submit revised entries with updated times closer to the date of the meet.  Update information and instructions will be sent to team contacts of the teams in the meet.

FEES

$3.50 per individual entry. ($4.00 per individual hand written entry)

Only one check per team will be accepted, payable to North Country Aquatic Club.

$5.00 for time trials payable at the meet when signing up for a time trial.
