THERE
WILL BE NO DIVING DURING WARM-UP EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED LANES WHEN ANNOUNCED.
Facility: Goodyear Pool at Norwich University in Northfield,
Vermont has a six lane, 25 yard pool with non-turbulent lane lines and
electronic timing, and spectator seating for 350. There will be additional
seating available in the gymnasium. All events will be announced from the pool
area.
Entry Information: Entry information must be completed and
received by 5:00 pm by December 2, 2002. No telephone entries will be accepted.
Email Entries: Email entries with a
standard CL2 or SD3 data file (zipped files work better) of your team’s entry
will be accepted. A paper copy of the meet entry and payment for the entry must
be received within four days, not including Sundays and holidays, of the
receipt of entry. If payment and paper copy are not received within this
period, the date the check arrives is the date your entry is considered
received.
Other Entries: Diskette with a standard
CL2 or SD3 data file and a hard copy of your entry and payment via US Postal
Service or other overnight delivery service. Please indicate that the
package may be delivered even if there is no one there to sign for it.

Cuts: In
the event of over subscription, entries will be accepted by date and time of
arrival. WE WILL STRICTLY ADHERE TO THE 4-HOUR PER SESSION RULE.

Meter
Times:
Short course meter times MUST be converted to short course yards by multiplying
by 0.9049.
Format: All events will be timed finals. The meet will be deck seeded.
Late arrivals and no shows will be scratched from the event. Positive check in
will be required by 9:00 am for the morning session and by ˝ hour before the
start of the afternoon session. Swimmers are asked to check in with the clerk
when they arrive. A swimmer may
enter NO MORE than five (5) individual events. No time entries will be
accepted.
Eligibility:
All
swimmers must be 2003 registered swimmers with United States Swimming. Swimmers
may register with the New England Swimming Office, 20 Cleveland Road, Needham,
MA 02192.
Rules: 2003 United States Swimming rules will govern all competition and
decisions of the referee will be final unless written protest is lodged within
30 minutes of the heat being protested.

Admission: Admission will be $1.00 per session, $1.00 for programs. No one
except coaches, officials and competitors will be allowed on the pool deck.
Refreshments: A complete snack bar will be available. NO glass will be allowed on the pool deck. NO food or drink may be brought into the locker rooms or onto the
pool deck.
Safety:
All team and individual warm-ups shall be under the direct
supervision of the respective swimmer’s coach or individual designated by the
referee. Any swimmer participating in the meet without a USA Swimming
registered coach shall report to the referee before warm-ups prior to each
session.
THERE
WILL BE NO SHAVING ALLOWED IN THE SHOWERS OR ELSEWHERE ON THE SWIMMING VENUES.
PLEASE
NOTE: Coaches and parents are responsible for their swimmers AT ALL TIMES. Meet
attendants are limited to the use of the pool, bleachers, locker rooms, and gym
areas. Any unsupervised swimmers found in other areas of the building will be
removed from the meet. Any damage to the Norwich University facilities will be
charged to those responsible.
DIRECTIONS:
Take I-89 North or South to
Exit #5; turn right (from north) or left( from south) at the bottom of the Exit
ramp to Northfield, not Williamstown, 2.9 miles to the bottom of the hill. Turn
right to Northfield (Rt 12 North); 1.6 miles toward Northfield village; pass
all Norwich University buildings and main entrance on the left; watch for the
village green/common on the right (gazebo). . Look for the CVWM swim meet sign.
There is parking for the pool is just after the last Norwich building (Plumley
Armory) on the left There is NO parking
permitted on the access road to the parking lot (it is a through street). The
University Security will tow cars parked on the access road at the owner’s
expense. Additional parking will be available in lots off ID White Drive. Note to previous swimmers and coaches: The
entrance to the pool is now at the football field end of the building. The
parking lot door is now an exit door only.
