Facility: 5-lane
25 yard indoor pool with non-turbulent lane lines. Seating is available above the pool.
Timing:
Timing will be manual. 2 timers
per team, per session would be appreciated.
Entries:
Entries must be completed and received by Friday November 8,
2002. First day of entries is first day
of posting on the NE swimming Website. Entry should be submitted on the
enclosed N.E. Standard entry form or HY-TEK entry on diskette with a hard copy
print-out included. There will be no
refunds or telephone entries after the above entry deadline. Checks should be made payable to:

completed entry forms and checks to:
Greenwood Memorial Pool. C/O Anne Monette 69 Park street, Gardner,
MA 01440. Seed times must be submitted in yards. Cost for individual events 25-200 yds in
length is $4.00 hand entry, $3.50 disk. 400 and longer
distances is $4.00 hand entry, $3.50 disk.
Relays $10.00 Time trials will
cost an additional $5.00 per event (time permitting).
Eligibility:
All swimmers must be 2003 registered swimmers with United States
Swimming. New England swimmers may
register with Mary Riddell, 20 Cleveland Rd., Needham, MA 02492.
Cuts: In
the event of over subscription, cuts will be made by date of receipt. Notification of cuts will be made by Friday
November 8, 2002 via lottery.
Awards:
Ribbons will be awarded for the first eight places.
Admissions: $1.00 per adult. Program $2.00 for Friday night session, $ 4.00 for the morning
session (both days), $4.00 for the afternoon session (both days).
Refreshments:
Full concession available for all three days.
Directions:
From the North and South: Follow
Route 128 or 495 to route 2 West. Take
the first Gardner exit (#23). At the
end of the ramp, which feeds into a rotary, take the first right underneath a
railroad bridge, following the sign to 140.
At the first traffic light, turn right onto Elm St. Follow until you come to another
rotary. Enter the rotary and exit it at
9 o’clock. This is Central Street,
which you will follow until it forks left.
You bear to the right at the fork, which is Park Street. The pool is on the right.
From the East: Take Route 2 West and follow above
directions
From the West: Take Route 2 East; get off at the second
Gardener exit (23),
Follow directions from North and
South.
Format:
Timed Finals. Time trials will
be held after each session (time permitting).
Rules:
2002 US Swimming will govern all competition and decisions by the
referee will be final unless a written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of
the swim heat being protested
Special
Instructions: Swimmers are to abide by the directions of
the marshals. No swimmer is allowed to
enter the pool or participate in warm-ups until under the direct supervision of
a USS registered coach. All swimmers
who do not have a USS coach present must report to the meet referee. All swimmers must enter the pool at the
starting end of the pool. No diving or
racing starts are permitted except in announced one-way sprint lanes designated
for diving. No jumping into the pool is
permitted at any time during the meet.
