Starting Times: Sunday A.M. 7:15 Warm-up Meet 8:15 A.M. 10 & Under, 13-14 year olds.
Sunday P.M. 1:30 Warm-up Meet 2:30 P.M. 11 & 12 yr. olds & 15-18 yr olds. (not Senior)

Warm-up: Warm up schedule will be posted in the pool. It may be by teams depending on numbers. All teams are expected to follow this schedule. Absolutely no diving except in designated sprint lanes.

Facility: Springfield College Art Linkletter Natatorium. A six lane 25 yard facility with non-turbulent lane lines and electronic touch pad timing.

Eligibility: All contestants must be 2002 registered athletes with United States Swimming. New England swimmers may register with Mary Riddell, 20 Cleveland Rd., Needham, Ma. 02492. All coaches on deck must be registered with U.S. Swimming.

Entries: Entries will be accepted beginning Sept. 20, and all entries must Be received by Oct. 11th. In order to be included in the Pentathlon scoring swimmers must compete in the five events for their age group. A swimmer may enter and swim fewer events for time, but they will not be included in the scoring for awards. There will be no cut off times for this meet, but we will not accept No Time - please include a coaches time for a swimmer so we can time out the meet. All entries should be e-mailed to: fraswim@yahoo.com using the Hy-tek Meet Manager program.
If entries are e-mailed they are not considered received until the check is received. This must be received four business days after the entry has been submitted. A paper entry is also required.
No phone entries will be accepted. Entries must be received by Oct. 11, 2002 (Friday).
Checks must accompany all entries. Please make out one club check.
Checks should be made out to PVAC.

Entry Fees: Individual Events $3.50 Relays $10.00 (disk entries) $4.00 for hand entries. Checks and the hard copy should be mailed to:

Rules: U.S.A. Swimming Rules will be followed. All events will be timed finals.

Seeding Info: All coaches will be given a scratch sheet. This should be turned back into the Clerk of Course one half hour before the start of each session. All the events for the session will then be seeded. The Clerk of Course is located where the computer and timing system are located, next to the door on the side of the pool.

Cutting the meet: **The meet will be cut by time, and date of receipt. This is so we can cut by session so we can stay within the four hour rule. Any team cut will be notified by Oct. 14, 2002. In the event of oversubscription, New England policy rules will go into effect.

Officials: Anyone wishing to help officiate would be appreciated. They should send in their name with the entry.

Awards: Individual Trophies will be awarded to the top 6 scorers in each age group for a total of 48 trophies. Swimmers must participate in all five events to be scored. Individual scoring is the addition of the 5 times swum. The swimmer with the lowest score wins. The award will be based on the top 6 individual scorers in each division with the following points awarded:

Individual trophies will be awarded at the conclusions of the A.M. session and the P.M. session. There will also be heat awards.

Concession: A food concession will be set up upstairs in the building, this will be run by the College.

Directions to Springfield College:
The pool is on Alden St. It has an arched roof.
From points east & west
-take Mass. pike to exit 6
-turn left onto route 291 west
-proceed one mile to exit 5 (East Springfield-Indian Orchard)
-After you turn right, at end of exit ramp onto route 20A, you should
be prepared to get into left lane on route 20A
-take immediate left at traffic signal onto Roosevelt Ave., Proceed
three miles to Alden St.
-turn right onto Alden St., and proceed one half mile to
campus-parking lot is on the
right after the Allied Health building - in front of the playing
field. (artificial turf)

From points north
-interstate 91 south
-exit onto interstate 291 east
-take 291 to exit 5B
-then follow the above directions from exit 5
