Warm-ups will be split by age groups and teams may be assigned lanes.

FACILITY:  White Brook Middle School, 200 Park St., Easthampton, MA has a six lane, 25 yard pool with non-turbulent lane lines and electronic timing.  Seating is limited (approx. 300), therefore swimmers are asked to remain in the bullpen (gym) area.  All events will be announced from the bullpen.

ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers must be 2003 registered swimmers with New England Swimming.  Swimmers may register with the New England Swimming Office, 20 Cleveland Road, Needham, MA  02492. Age eligibility is determined by the age of the swimmer on Feb. 7, 2003. All coaches on the deck must be registered with US Swimming and display their coach membership cards.

ENTRY INFORMATION: No swimmer may enter more than five individual events per day.

Entries must be received by Monday, January 27, 2003.  Entries earlier than that will be greatly appreciated.  Electronic entries, whether by email or on computer disk are appreciated and are less expensive (according to NES policy).  Please submit an .sd3 file (LSA Team) or .cl2 (Hy-Tek Team Manager) file.  Seed cards are not required.

Email Entries:  Attach the .cl2 or .sd3 file to the email message.  A zipped version of the entry tends to work better than just attaching the regular entry file.  If sending entries via email, the entry fees and a paper copy of the entry, along with the entry cover sheet must be received by Friday, January 31, 2003.

Other Entries:  United States Postal Service Overnight Mail is the preferred paper mailing method.  If Overnight Mail is used, indicate that the package be delivered even if no one is there to sign for it.  No fax entries will be accepted.  All fees must accompany the entry.

ENTRY TIMES AND VERIFICATION: All swimmers must enter with their best times achieved from September 1, 2002 through January 28, 2003. The meet will be strictly monitored to prevent any swimmer from entering the meet with incorrect times. Any swimmer proven to be ineligible for an event due to “too fast time” will be barred from the rest of the meet. If several swimmers from one team are found to have false times entered, that team will be reported to the Board of Review for further action and may jeopardize their participation in future New England championships meets. No “no times” will be accepted.

Times achieved in a 25 meter pool must be multiplied by .9049 to convert to yards.

FORMAT: All events will be timed finals.  The meet will be run with a bullpen.  Swimmers may scratch an event by not showing up at the bullpen.  However, to facilitate the smooth operation of the meet, coaches are requested to submit all scratches 1/2 hour before the start of the session.  Once an event is seeded, no more swimmers will be allowed to swim in that event.  Under no circumstances will an event be re-seeded due to late arrivals to the bullpen.
