is not permitted anywhere in the building or grounds.
CONCESSIONS: Food concession located in adjacent
building (+ 20 feet from sports pavilion)
Swimmers should have warm clothing and footgear for moving between buildings.
ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED IN THE POOL AREA,
BLEACHERS OR LOCKER ROOMS.

PARKING:
Ample
free parking on school grounds. Park in lots designated New England
Swimming. DO NOT park in the small visitors lot near
the main entrance.
Absolutely NO parking in the driveway between the main building and
sports pavilion.

Diving during Warm-up is NOT PERMITTED except in specially designated
sprint lanes. Warm-ups will be designated by age group.
ENTRIES Entry forms must be complete and received by December 31, 2001. Entries can be submitted on diskette
or via e mail using the Hy-Tek program. Entries should be mailed to Dick Whitworth,

ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers must be 2002 registered
swimmers with U.S.
swimming. New England swimmers may register with Mary
Riddell,
20 Cleveland Road, Needham, Ma 02192.
All coaches
on
deck must be registered with US Swimming and present their
coach membership cards.
Notification
of cuts will be made by January 4, 2002.

AWARDS:
Ribbons
will be awarded for the first six places. Heat winners will
FORMAT: All events are swum as timed finals and will be deck seeded
after the scratch deadline.
THE SCRATCH DEADLINE WILL BE 45 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF EACH SESSION.
There will be a bull pen for 8 & under swimmers. The bull pen will be located in the hall behind the bleachers.
All other swimmers are to report to their lane when their event is
called.
RULES: The 2002
U.S. Swimming rules will govern all competition and decisions by
written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of the swim heats being protested. Special instructions::
Swimmers are to abide by the directions of the marshals.
No swimmer is allowed to enter the pool or
participate in warm ups until he/she is under the direct supervision of a U.S. registered coach.
Swimmers who do not have a U.S. Swim coach
present should
report to meet referee. All swimmers must enter the pool at
the starting end of the pool. Shaving on
site is prohibited.
DIRECTIONS: From
I-495 (NORTH AND SOUTH)
From Routes 38 and 113
I-95 North or South to Exit 38/Route 38 (Lowell and
Tewksbury). Turn right off ramp onto Route 38 NORTH
following signs for Downtown or SMMC (Hospital). Cross
through intersection
of Routes 38 & 133, proceed past Saints
Memorial Medical Center on left. Cross Merrimack River to
rotary on opposite bank.
Drive 3/4 around rotary, following Route 38 NORTH (DRACUT)
signs. At first traffic light, proceed straight ahead (Do Not turn
onto Route 38) following sign
to to 113, 3A and 3. This is
Veterans of Foreign Wars Highway
(VFW Highway). From here
on, the river will be on your left.
Follow Route 113 West signs
until you cross Lowell-Tyngsboro border. Look for Greater
Lowell Technical HS driveway and sign on right.
From Route 3 North
I-495 North or South to Exit 35B/Route 3. Exit 32 - Route
4/Chelmsford/No. Chelmsford. Take first right Drum
Hill/Lowell. Follow through 5 sets of lights approx. 1.4 miles
over Rourke Bridge. Take left onto Rt. 113 West. Follow for 2
miles to the GLTHS on the right.
From Route 3 South (Nashua area)
Route 3 South to
Exit 35, Route 113/Tyngsboro/Dunstable.
Right off exit on 113 East 1.1 miles to lights. Straight through
lights over Merrimack River bridge .
1st right continuing on 113
East. Follow 2.4 miles to jug-handle on right and the entrance to
the GLTHS which will be on your left.
