Warm-up schedule will be posted at the pool. All teams are expected to follow
this schedule.
NO DIVING EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED SPRINT LANES.
FACILITY: Springfield College - Art Linkletter Natatorium, A six lane 50 meter facility with non- turbulent lane lines and electronic touch pad timing.
ELIGIBILITY: All contestants must be 2002 registered swimmers with U.S.Swimming. NEW ENGLAND swimmers may register with Mary Riddell, 20 Cleveland Road, Needham, MA 02492.
ENTRIES: Entries must be received by Tuesday, May 14, 2001. Entries received after this date will not be accepted. IF YOU USE ANY TYPE OF MAIL THAT NEEDS TO BE SIGNED AS A RECEIPT PLEASE HAVE IT SIGNED OFF SO IT CAN BE LEFT. There is usually no one home during the day. Computer entries may be sent using the hy-tek program, but a hard copy must also be enclosed. Entries may be e-mailed using the hy-tek program but fees and the hard copy must be received by Tuesday, May 14, 2002. New England teams will be accepted before out of district teams. (One team be allowed to enter the meet due to an agreement made a year ago.)
This is a timed final meet. It will be deck seeded. All coaches will be given a scratch sheet for each session. These must be turned into the Clerk of Course 30 minutes before the start of each session. The events will then be seeded. The heat and lane assignments will posted on the back wall of the pool under the diving boards. There be no bull pen. The clerk of course is at the table where the timing system and the computer are set up. All swimmers are responsible for finding their heat and lane assignment once they are posted. There will be no seed cards needed.
ENTRIES: $3.50 per Individual Event, $4.00 for 400 free, & 400 IM. Relays are $10.00. Entries should be mailed to: Isabelle Fraser, 125 Franklin Rd., Longmeadow, Ma. 01106. Express mail entries should be signed off so they can be left.
FORMAT: All events will be timed finals. 11-12 &13-14 age groups in the A.M., 10 & Under and open events in the P.M.
ENTRY RULES: The meet cut off times are attached. 2002 United States
swimming Rules will govern all competition unless otherwise specified herein.
NO. OF EVENTS: No swimmer may compete in more than five events per day,
excluding relays.
SCORING: Scoring will be to six places. Individual: 7-5-4-3-2-1. Relays: 14-10-8-6-4-2.
CUTTING THE MEET: The meet will be cut by date of receipt and time. The 400IM, and the 400 Free will be limited to four hours. We may have to limit the 11-12 400 Free to 3 heats. Anyone cut from the meet will be notified over the weekend before the meet. The people who have not been cut completely out of the meet are welcome to go to the Clerk of Course 30 minutes before the start of each session and if there are enough scratches they will be allowed to enter their events. In some events PVAC has permission to swim their own Club swimmers without the cut
AWARDS: Individual High Point award for male and female in all age groups. Point Male and Female Team Award. No combined team award. Ribbons will be awarded for 1-6 place. Clubs entering the meet are asked to supply one official per 25 individual entries if possible. A sign up sheet will be provided at the door for volunteer officials. No admission fee will be charged for anyone offering to help at a given session.
FOOD: A food concession will be set up by the College Food Service. There is plenty of grassy area in front of the pool to accomodate those wishing to have a picnic or relax between sessions. Bring lawn chairs.
SWIM SUPPLIES: Will be available.
